KofC Annual Flower Sale Begins April 22nd

The Knights of Columbus Annual Mother's Day Flower Sale begins after all Masses the weekend of April 22 nd and 23 rd and again on the 29 th and 30 th .

Sample baskets will be available in the church lobbies when you place your order. These are high quality plants at great prices! For the third straight year, prices stay the same! a variety of hanging baskets and geraniums (in flats for replanting) will be available.

Hanging baskets are $22 each and geraniums are $2.50 each. All orders must be placed by no later than 1:00 PM on April 30 th . No exceptions, please. Payment is expected at the time of order and we accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express - west lobby only) . Cash and checks (made out to "KofC Council #11188") are accepted. Order pickup is Friday, May 12 th from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM in the east end of Don Ross Hall (enter the church through the east lobby). Knights of Columbus Fish Frys Every Friday in March 2018 Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fries Coming Soon!

We have the best Fish Fry's in the area!

Lenten meals will be served the first five Fridays * during Lent: March 3 rd , 10 th , 17 th ,  24 th , and 31 st , from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM . Stations of the Cross now precedes the meals beginning at 5:30 PM.

Dinner:  $9 for adults (single serving) or upgrade to the " All You Can Eat " # meal at $11 per person. Children ages 3-12 are $5, kids under 3 eat free. To go meals are available . We accept credit card payments!

Meal includes:  Fried and/or baked fish, salad, fries OR macaroni & cheese, green beans, homemade coleslaw, applesauce, roll, drink (punch/water/coffee/tea), and choice of freshly baked desserts. For kid's and those who don't want fish, meals can consist of mac & cheese and other items.

The Columbian Squires, Circle #4624, will be selling ice cold pop for 75¢ a can.

Come to the Church of Our Lady and fulfill your Lenten obligation while enjoying a delicious fish dinner. These Lenten meals are the primary fundraiser for the Council and nearly all the money raised is used in support of our parish. Without your participation, the council will not have the funds to aid the parish in the coming year. This year our finances are especially critical and we need your support every week. The Knights ask the chefs & bakers of the parish to provide cakes, pies, and cookies to be served as desserts. Many of those attending our fish fries look forward to the delicious items provided for desserts each year. The Knights are extremely grateful for those who provide these mouth-watering items every year.

* Week 6 is the Easter Bunny breakfast and Easter egg hunt, more on that soon.

Knights of Columbus Spaghetti Dinner Sept 24th 2016

The fabulous KofC Spaghetti Dinner with Ice Cream Sundaes is back on Saturday, September 24 th from 5 - 7 PM in Don Ross Hall (immediately following the 4:00 PM Mass). Again this year the Knights are offering multiple choices in pasta, sauce, beverage, and ice cream. Dinner will consist of pasta (your choice!) and meatballs covered in one of four famous Council #11188 homemade sauces (your choice!), salad, roll, and choice of beverage. It is ALL YOU CAN EAT! The Columbian Squires #4624 will be selling various brands of ice cold pop for 75¢ a can. For dessert, the Knights will be providing several flavors of tasty ice cream that can be topped with a variety of toppings. The Knights are asking everyone to bring their own favorite toppings to share with everyone else. The cost for both dinner and dessert is $8 for adults, $4 for children between the ages of 3-12, and youngsters under 3 eat for free. All proceeds will go towards the charitable works of the Knights. Knights of Columbus Council #11188 Free Throw Contest 2016

The Knights of Columbus, Council #11188 is sponsoring its annual Free Throw Contest on Saturday, January 30 th , from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM (time subject to change) at the Groveport Recreational Center, 7370 Groveport Road, Groveport, OH. Girls and boys from the ages of 9 to 14 are eligible to participate for trophy awards. Winners in each category are determined by making the most out of 15 free throw attempts. In addition to receiving trophies, winners are eligible to advance to District Level competition to be held February 13 th . Signups will be open for both boys and girls from 9:30 AM until 12:30PM . The contest runs continuously so you can show up at any time during the signup window. The trophy presentation will take place at 1:00 PM. Up to twelve trophies (one per age group and gender) will be given away. This competition is open to the public and there is no cost to participate . Parents of the participants are encouraged to be present ( parents must sign a permission form ) and proof of age is required (bring a copy of your birth certificate or similar) in order to advance.  Questions can be answered by contacting Mike Jacobs at 614-271-6722.

Knights Beat the Team Up North Sub Sale

KofC Meatball Sub Sale 2015 Get subs for Beat the Team Up North and save the fuss! The Knights of Columbus, Council #11188 is holding a meatball sub sandwich sale in time for the big OSU vs. Michigan football game. Sandwiches can be ordered after all Masses on November 7 th , 8 th , 14 th , & 15 th for $5 each. Payment will be required at the time of ordering. The delicious subs will be freshly made on the afternoon of Friday, 11/27, and will be available for pickup that same evening between the 6:00 and 7:30 PM. Order up a bunch of subs for the big game or just order a few for a delightful snack.  Questions:  Contact Mike Jacobs at 614-271-6722..

Proceeds go to support the general charitable works of the Knights. The local council distributes 90% or more of the proceeds each year in this parish or the Columbus diocese. Knights of Columbus Memorial Mass: Sunday, November 1 st , at the 9:00 AM Mass

As a remembrance in honor of their fallen members, our local Knights of Columbus will have a Mass celebrated to honor the deceased members of Knights of Columbus #11188. It will take place at the 9:00 AM Mass on Sunday, November 1 st .

This will include special seating for the families of the past members, a reading of the names, a carnation for each family of a deceased member, and a procession lead by the 4 th Degree Honor Guard to the Statue of Mary outside the church for the laying of a commemorative wreath.

Since the Knights of Columbus Miraculous Medal Council 11188 was chartered in 1993, God has called home 26 of our Knights. We ask your continuing prayers for them and for their families and loved ones who were left to grieve.

Ellis Armentrout, John Brokus, Carl Carius, Tony Colizzi, Dwight Conkey, Charley Connolly, Dave Core, Anthony Durant, Thomas Paul Getreu, Frank Gibson, Ed Hein, Wesley Helligas, Ed Hueckel, Ed Kopetz, Chuch Maille, Jack Mehan, Phil Montalvo, Joe Nagy, Aloysius J. Nehr, John Pahumbo, Deacon Joe Poland, Jack Priest, Al Samuel, Dave Smith, Rusty Tucker, and Walt McAvay. Although Walt never joined the Knights, he supported the Council in all of its endeavors.

THESE MEN, THESE BROTHER KNIGHTS, WILL LIVE ON IN OUR MEMORIES AND IN OUR HEARTS.

Special Memorial Service on National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children

Join Knights of Council 11188 and your fellow parishioners to commemorate the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children. The council is hosting a memorial service and rededication at the monument in the west parking lot following the Mass on September 12 th . Pray for the end of abortion and for the souls of the many infants who have had their little lives ended prematurely by this terrible evil. This day has become an annual event calling on pro-life Americans everywhere to honor the deaths of our unborn brothers and sisters. Council 11188 erected the first monument dedicated to the unborn in the Columbus Diocese. Fr. Coleman and Dcn. Steve will be participants.

It Just Might Be the Cheapest Grill Meat You Will Ever Get #3

Sale extended one more week! Remaining tickets available after Mass September 5 and 6. After the huge success of the first two raffles (which were complete sellouts), the Knights are back with another raffle to end the summer. Stop by after Mass to purchase a chance in the Knight's Super Summer Meat Raffle for the BBQ. Tickets will be available the 11 AM Mass on August 23 and after all Masses the weekend of August 29/30 or until sold out. Chances are only $5 and the winner will receive a freshly prepared meat bundle from the Sedalia Food Market valued at over $150 . The choice of meats includes steaks, pork chops, chicken, ribs, and hamburgers - all perfect for grilling. Only 75 tickets will be sold and sales each month end when all the tickets are gone. Your chances of winning are excellent at 1 in 75. Help support the charitable efforts of Knights of Columbus Council 11188 and enjoy a Labor Day of delicious BBQ at the same time.
