This will include special seating for the families of the past members, a reading of the names, a carnation for each family of a deceased member, and a procession lead by the 4th Degree Honor Guard to the Statue of Mary outside the church for the laying of a commemorative wreath.

Since the Knights of Columbus Miraculous Medal Council 11188 was chartered in 1993, God has called home 20 of our Knights. We ask your continuing prayers for them and for their families and loved ones who were left to grieve.

If your children or grandchildren in grades K-8 are not attending Catholic school, they need to be enrolled in the Parish School of Religion.  The first night of class is September 10th starting at 6:30 PM.  Registration and a short parent meeting will take place at the same time. Tuition will remain at $55. per student and a payment plan is available. For further information call Char Forrest at 836-9086.

RCIT, our parish youth ministry will begin October 7th after the 11:00 AM mass. All parish youth from 5th grade through college are invited to come and fellowship with other teens including those who may be interested in the faith.

Do you know of  teens who are Baptized Catholic but got sidetracked on their faith and would like to learn and catch up on their sacraments? We have a teen youth program that incorporates these kids and those interested in becoming Catholic with our parish youth. We use the Youcat Catholic youth catechism and scripture to teach the faith to preteens through college age kids. RCIT starts October 7th after the 11:00 AM mass.

Annual Pumpkin Carving & Halloween Costume Contest: Friday, October 21st, from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM:
Fall is in the air and that means it time for the only thing scarier than an OSU football game - The Annual Pumpkin Carving & Halloween Costume Contest sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Council #11188. The carving will start promptly at 7:00 PM on Friday, October 21st in Hallow Don Ross Hall.Kids, start thinking about the designs of your award winning pumpkins. Remember that the planning and gathering of materials are permitted before the day of the contest, but you must wait until October 21st, at 7:00 PM to do any actual cutting. This includes cleaning the guts and goo from inside the pumpkin. This is the only way the contest will be fair to all the contestants. Also, remember that the pumpkin carving contest is intended as a competition between the children and that adult assistance should be kept to a minimum, depending upon the age of the child. Please bring your own pumpkin, carving tools, decorating materials and plan to take the pumpkin home afterwards (and snacks to share). Prizes will be awarded for the funniest, the scariest, the ugliest, and the most original submissions.
