THIRD SUNDAY OF ADVENT
The third Sunday of Advent in 2022 will be on Sunday, December 11th. There is so much comfort to be found in the practice of pausing to read, pray, and reflect over the course of the Advent season in which believers eagerly anticipate the celebration of Christ’s birth. The third Sunday of Advent gives us the opportunity to prepare in our hearts a sense of holy anticipation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus as well as for his promised second coming. We can study the Scriptures as a reminder of the ways God has been faithful to us through the fulfillment of prophecy—and find hope in the promises of God that are laid out in his Word.
Those whom the Lord has ransomed will returnand enter Zion singing, crowned with everlasting joy;they will meet with joy and gladness, sorrow and mourning will flee.

Solemnity of Mary Masses
Thursday 9:00 am and 7:00 pm
On December 8, we honor Mary, our Mother. The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception is a Catholic feast celebrating Mary’s conception without sin. Even though this feast day occurs in the liturgical season of Advent, which prepares for the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Immaculate Conception refers to the conception of Mary in the womb of her mother, St. Anne.
The dogma of the Immaculate Conception asserts that, “from the first moment of her conception, the Blessed Virgin Mary was, by the singular grace and privilege of Almighty God, and in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, Savior of Mankind, kept free from all stain of original sin.”

Everyone,
The Knights of Columbus will be setting up the Nativity Scene in front of the church on Saturday, December 3rd, starting at 10:00am.
Council 11188 would like to invite parishioners to stop by and lend a helping hand.
This annual Christmas tradition should only take a couple of hours to complete and represents a excellent way to begin the 2022 Christmas Season in a religious fashion.
I realize it is too late to get this invitation into the bulletin, so kindly pass the word on to the parish this coming weekend.
God Bless
