Seeds Planted!
Men of the Medal initiated an evangelization project to the new neighborhood just east of the church. This is the 1st of a bigger project to go out to all the world and bring the good news.
Please welcome all people you do not know to church. Make them feel at home at Our Lady.
Christmas Altar Decorating 2023—HELP NEEDED!!
Here is our schedule for Christmas Altar decorating this year:
1) On Friday evening, December 22nd we will meet at 6:30pm to do all the basic set up: trees & lighting, manger, etc.
2) On Sunday, December 24th, after the 10:00am Mass we will complete the decorating by adding the Holy Family, placing the poinsettias and adding the final touches! I will need lots of help to accomplish this transformation. To add to the challenge, three of my usual helpers will be out of the state or the country.
Please pray about helping on Friday evening to set up the manger, trees and lighting. And then, if you can, please stay Sunday to help us place the flowers and add all the finishing touches. Please pray about this and help as much as you are able. Ask a friend to help.
Blessings upon all. Mary Bishel
Thank you Mary Bishel for all you do for the Glory of God!
2023 GIVING TREE-It’s not to late! You may pick up an ornament today and return the gift under the tree by Friday! Thanks to everyone for your generosity in sharing your time to purchase and/or gather these gifts which will bless so many families!
“Blessed Mother Mary, as we reflect on your yes to bring the Savior into the world, we ask that you be with us as we strive to bring Jesus to all those we encounter. In this season of joyful hope, we turn to you for guidance. May we imitate your loving example, and steadfastly bring peace and justice to our world. […] Amen.”

“Mary’s heart was fully disposed to the fulfilment of the divine will. This is why the Blessed Virgin is the model of Christian expectation and hope… In her heart there is no shade of selfishness: she desires nothing for herself except God’s glory and human salvation. For her, the very privilege of being preserved from original sin is not a reason to boast, but one for total service to her Son’s redemptive mission.”

“And coming to her, he said, “Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you.” But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.”

“The Advent season is a time of preparation that directs our hearts and minds to Christ’s second coming at the end of time and to the anniversary of Our Lord’s birth on Christmas. […] Our Advent readings call us to be alert and ready, not weighted down and distracted by the cares of this world.”
