ANNETTE PATTERSON OBITUARY
ANNETTE MARIE FILIPPI PATTERSONIt is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beautiful, sweet Annie. Born May 10, 1955 to Jean and Henry Filippi in Columbus, Ohio. Passed peacefully in her sleep April 7, 2023. Annie is survived by her lifelong partner and love of her life, her husband of 51 years, Dave Patterson. Her children of whom she was so proud and loved fiercely, David Richard Patterson (Melissa), and Kimberly Patterson. Her grandsons, “Her Boys”, David James Patterson and Justin Russell. Her siblings, know our hearts are broken to lose her… Michael Filippi (Kristin), James Filippi (Delores), Jeanne Filippi Fravel (Robin), Lorene Filippi Nordin (Chris), Mark Filippi (Beth), and John Filippi (Kelly). David’s family, Eleanor Patterson, Douglas Patterson (Georgeanne), and Sandy Ryan (Jack). Annie is also survived by her numerous nieces and nephews who loved their “Aunt Annie” so much! Preceded in death by her parents Jean Filippi and Henry Filippi as well as oldest brother Joseph Filippi (Victoria). We our comforted knowing they were waiting for her with open arms. So happy to see her big smile again! Always smiling, always positive. That was our Annie. She was a devout Catholic and took great comfort in her beliefs. She remained very involved in her church and enjoyed leading the Holy Rosary at mass weekly. She blindly supported her Cleveland Browns and never missed a Cleveland “Indians” game on the radio. Her sheer joy in attending her first live Cleveland Indians game a few years ago with her sisters was a memory she said she would never forget! Annie never allowed her physical limitations to define her. She was a warrior in the truest sense of the word. She never gave up. She was the heart of our big family and the keeper of the recipes! She loved to work in her garden, always looking for “mom” in the beautiful butterflies and hummingbirds that were drawn to her there. It was her happy place. We loved her greatly and she will be missed. We have been blessed with and will be comforted by a lifetime of memories to hold in our hearts of Annie. She was and always will be “Our Brown Eyed Girl”… Friends may call Wednesday, April 12, 2023, 4-7 PM EVANS FUNERAL HOME 4171 E.
