Please pray for the Repose of Wendell Thacker’s Soul.

Wendell Willie Thacker Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Wendell W. Thacker of Groveport, Ohio on Thursday November 14th, at the age of 67 years. Wendell was born on July 19, 1957 to  Cullie Wheeler, and the late Willie Thacker, in Pikeville, Kentucky.

He will always be missed and remembered by his wife of 48 years, Trisha; children: Daniel (Kristy), Tracella (John), and Jonathan (Amanda); 8 grandchildren: Andrew, Annalissa, Helena, Grant, Scott, Brad, Travis, and Eli; mother: Cullie Wheeler; sister-in-law: Paula Stauffer; brother-in-law: Curtis Crosby (sister-in-law Pam); Aunt Jackie and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins; as well as numerous friends.

Wendell was predeceased by his baby (Nathaniel); father Willie Thacker; brother, Randall Thacker; mother-in-law Margaret Crosby; Father-in-law Paul Crosby; Brother-in-laws: Charles Stauffer and Kenneth Crosby (Connie).

Wendell loved God, his family, and friends. Everyone he met, would soon be his friend. He enjoyed spending time with Trisha, his high school sweetheart. It did not matter where they went, as long as they were together. He enjoyed his job at UPS and worked there for 36 years. He was the heart of the UPS yard and nothing can fill the void that he left. He also was the union steward for Teamster Local 413 and worked hard on behalf of his co-workers.
